Nature Artist Kelly Reark spends most of her time on the Southwest coast of Florida, "The Left Coast", fishing the Gulf of Mexico ("researching").  Marine artwork requires a lot of research.  Kelly take hundreds of photos of the water's surface, the sea floor, fish both in their natural surroundings and "posed" for photos.  Many times, she will use three or four photos to paint just one fish on a canvas.  In nature, the fish don't hold still for long and rarely smile for the camera!
